FOR HIS PROPOSAL, Rosario faked meeting clients for a wedding consultation and set up his chosen location with roses, candles and fireworks that read ‘Marry Me?’. “She had no idea the setup was for her until I knelt down and proposed,” said Rosario. “
The couple confirmed their love in a traditional ceremony at their parish St Marks Catholic Church, Drummoyne. Graziella looked exquisite in her fit and flare, lace Berta Bridal gown from Brides By Francesca. She carried a trailing bouquet of beautiful ivory Phalaenopsis orchids and finished off the look with a cathedral length veil. The inspiration for the décor elements and reception styling came from Graziella’s passion for Gucci. “I created a logo that I carried throughout the whole wedding that would represent our initials in a very stylish yet simple way,” explained Rosario. The couple chose the Main Ballroom at Doltone House Hyde Park as their venue. “As I suggest with all my clients,” said Rosario, “the theme must be carried out from the beginning until the end. I had set the tone with our invitations, gold quilted boxes with embossed foiled logo motifs, inside acrylic panel invitations etched with gold and black text.”
The exquisite event was styled by Rossi Weddings & Events, bringing in luxe gold Channel chairs, crystal ceiling chandeliers, elaborate chandelier table centres custom made by Rossi By Design, an abundance of red roses, gold trimmed charger plates and gold quilted menus. The main and cake tables were brought in also to match. Each place was set with gold acrylic, laser cut names.
Rosario knew he needed to make a statement with his bomboniere. Their guests went home with a beautifully gold monogrammed bottle of 700ml 24 carat gold flaked custom Buttercup liqueur and matching custom designed bomboniere boxes.
